Key Takeaways
You can achieve your happy weight through practical habits rather than restrictive dieting or calorie counting.
A healthy relationship with food is possible even after struggling with restriction and binge cycles.
Sustainable nutrition approaches focus on building normal, everyday habits that work with your lifestyle.
Professional guidance can help you navigate food and body challenges without the hard lessons of trial and error.
You deserve to feel confident in your body and eating choices without choosing between restriction or unhappiness.
When you hear the word "coach" you think about someone you pay to teach you a skill that you may or may not grasp. You think about if they really know what they're talking about. You start to question if you really need a coach or not. I mean, if you set your mind to it, you can probably master that skill yourself. Right?
> That's what I used to think.
Until I failed at least 5 times over at finding a balance between food and my body.
My name is Leena, I'm a nutritionist and coach. I studied health psychology in college when I fell in love with the wellness world. I didn't grow up athletic, I didn't grow up thinking much about food other than knowing that if I ate small portions, I could be skinny.
When I went to college I spontaneously joined a boxing gym and realized my body was capable of a lot more than I could've ever imagined. I wanted to know what a healthier diet could do to my mind, discipline, and physical health.
Like many young ladies, I took it too far and got obsessively hooked. With a restrict and binge cycle quickly forming from what started as an innocent interest in health, I had to dive deeper into health psychology and nutrition to fix myself if not anyone else. And I did.
Today I coach normal people on how to build practical, healthy habits to find their "happy weight" with a better relationship with food. No more dieting, no more restriction, just normal habits for normal people so you can be happy in your body. Because you deserve that!
I have 4 siblings, I'm newly married, work from home but have worked in a gym for a long long time, I absolutely love cooking and traveling, but am strongly attached to my routine at home. I'm not myself if I haven't gone on a morning walk and love a good sweet bite after dinner. Fun fact, I was on Family Feud with my family twice!
The truth is, most coaches are normal people just like us. We just want to be the best versions of ourselves every day and do our best to help others do the same. We have outside stressors, hormonal fluctuations, lazy days, family and relationships to manage, all the things.
Everyone deserves a healthy relationship with food and to find their happy weight. You shouldn't have to choose restrictive diets or be unhappy in your body. I worked with private clients for 4+ years teaching my balanced, practical nutrition method. Today I've wrapped up that method into a low-cost membership option where I can walk with members on their journey and help them build the habit tools they need to achieve their goals. Nutrition needs to be more accessible and change needs to start somewhere. So the Practical Path membership is just $34.99. It's my heart and soul and so is every client in there. Nothing lights me up more than seeing their wins, seeing them confident in their bodies and in their eating habits.
Health can be hard. I'm never going to ignore the challenges women and men face in learning how to navigate food and their bodies from childhood to early adulthood and on. But it doesn't have to be hard. With direction and a practical plan, you can do anything. I learned that the hard way but I hope you can learn from my mistakes!
